Sustainability

The Commitment of Intercheese AG

Sustainable practices are part of the company policy of InterCheese AG. Anyone offering high-quality natural products has a unique responsibility when it comes to resource conservation. InterCheese AG embraces this belief throughout the company: A clear testament to this is our new building, meeting Minergie standards. With a cubic capacity of around 50,000 m3, it is one of the largest Minergie production buildings in Central Switzerland. All required heat is generated from geothermal energy. A photovoltaic system spans the roof of the building and additional electricity requirements are covered exclusively by hydropower.

30 %

of the electricity required is produced with the company’s own photovoltaic system.

70 %

of the electricity required comes from hydropower.

100 %

of the heat required for operation is covered by geothermal energy.
